The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins

I have devoured this book over the last 24hrs.  I had bought several books to save for the holidays but started reading this on Saturday and haven't been able to put it down.  The only things that have dragged me away from it are Xmas parties, driving and work.  I have just finished the first one and lucky enough have the 2nd one on hand and when I finish this blog I am off to bed to read it.

When sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence.  But Katniss has been close to death before.  For her, surival is second nature.

Fantastic story, not as gory as what it sounds, but once again believable as to see as a future for our world.  Well worth the read
